He also appeared in "Sullivan's Travels" (1942). He continued to act in productions like the Betty Hutton biopic "Incendiary Blonde" (1945) and the Burt Lancaster crime flick "Criss Cross" (1949). Winkler had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties through the 2010s, including "Hitler's Daughter" (USA, 1990-91), "Gray Matter" (Cinemax, 2004-05) and "In Search of Memory" (2010). Winkler also produced "Echte Wiener."
