Biography

Charles Richman was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Richman appeared in such films as "My Friend, the Devil" (1922), the dramatic adaptation "Biography of a Bachelor Girl" (1934) with Ann Harding and "George White's 1935 Scandals" (1935) with Alice Faye. Biography

Charles Richman was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Richman appeared in such films as "My Friend, the Devil" (1922), the dramatic adaptation "Biography of a Bachelor Girl" (1934) with Ann Harding and "George White's 1935 Scandals" (1935) with Alice Faye. He also appeared in "After Office Hours" (1935) and "In Old Kentucky" (1935). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in the musical "Thanks a Million" (1935) with Dick Powell, "My Marriage" (1935) and "Parole!" (1936). Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in the musical "Make a Wish" (1937) with Bobby Breen, the comedy "Nothing Sacred" (1937) with Carole Lombard and the biopic "The Life of Emile Zola" (1937) with Paul Muni. He also appeared in "Blondes at Work" (1938) and the Gary Cooper comedy "The Cowboy and the Lady" (1938). Richman more recently acted in "Torchy Runs For Mayor" (1939). Richman passed away in December 1940 at the age of 75.
