Synopsis

Theodora Bland, a wealthy young flapper, is expelled from her fashionable boarding school and sent home accompanied by the assistant headmistress, Miss Blodgett. They are accidentally separated on the train, and Theodora befriends a girl who has escaped from reform school. Theodora meets author Wilton Carruthers when she gets off the train at the wrong stop, and, finally arriving home, she learns that Carruthers is the fiancé of her snobbish stepsister, Lillian. After unsuccessful attempts by her mother and Lillian to marry Theodora to oil magnate Seibert Peckham, Theodora steals Carruthers from Lillian (more attracted to a dance teacher) and installs the reform school girl in her house as a maid.
