Biography

Actor George Walsh was known for his roles on the silver screen. In his early acting career, Walsh appeared in such films as the Lillian Gish historical drama "Intolerance" (1916), "The Pride of New York" (1917) and "With Stanley in Africa" (1922). He also appeared in "Rosita" (1923) and "Souls For Sale" (1923). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the romance "Me and My Gal" (1932) with Spencer Tracy, "Out of Singapore" (1932) and "Return of Casey Jones" (1933) with Charles Starrett. He also appeared in the Wallace Beery drama "The Bowery" (1933) and the comedy "Belle of the Nineties" (1934) with Mae West. Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in "Under Pressure" (1935), the western "Klondike Annie" (1936) with Mae West and "Pinto Rustlers" (1936). Walsh more recently acted in the Geraldine Chaplin crime flick "Remember My Name" (1978). Walsh was married to Seena Owens and had three children. Walsh passed away in December 2005 at the age of 88.
