Satellite in the Sky

Nonchalant space pilot Hayden (Kieron Moore) gives reporter Kim Hamilton (Lois Maxwell) an unauthorized peek at the British earth-orbit craft he’s scheduled to launch the next day, and she thinks it’s risky and wasteful, in Satellite In The Sky, 1956.

Conducting an altitude test for the next day’s space launch, Cmdr. Hayden (Kieron Moore) is hardly seen, while Blandford and Ross (Walter Hudd, Donald Gray) handle communications, and skeptical reporter Kim (Lois Maxwell) takes a barb, in the British-made Warner Bros. release Satellite In The Sky, 1956.

Kieron Moore is the pilot Hayden, Barry Keegan his engineer "Lefty," Jimmy Hanley the navigator "Larry," and Donald Wolfit the less-fit Professor Merrity, who's responsible for the giant bomb the rest of the crew only just found out about, for the big launch in Satellite In The Sky, 1956.
