All Through the Night

Curious Manhattan gambler Gloves (Humphrey Bogart) has tracked somewhat mysterious singer Leda (Kaaren Verne) as he queries the murder of a baker-friend, her accompanist Pepe (Peter Lorre), whom we know is a killer, intruding, in All Through The Night, 1942.
