Synopsis

Bert Newsome, manager of the Wells Fargo stagecoach line, hires three marshals known as the Range Busters, Dusty, David and Alibi, to rout a gang of road agents who have been plaguing the Dry Gulch area since the sheriff's murder a year before. Bert recommends that they seek information from Joan Hodgins, whose father, Uncle Will, owns the local general store. On the way to town, David intercepts a stagecoach robbery in progress, but the bandits get away with the passengers' belongings and the cash box. Not long after, David saves Joan from Trigger Farley, who is pushing her around for refusing to sell him ammunition. After soundly beating Trigger, David forces him to pay for his goods. Trigger publicly vows vengeance against David and, upon leaving town, follows and shoots him from behind. When David does not return, Dusty goes into Dry Gulch and encounters Hodgins confronting the gang, which is led by an outlaw named Decker. Dusty shoots Decker's gun out of his hand and leaves with Hodgins, who takes him to his house, where David is recuperating. After Hodgins and the town's honest citizens hire Dusty, David and Alibi to be their sheriff and deputies, Dusty formulates a plan to entrap the gang, and posts notices that the law has returned to the town. After Dusty beats Decker in a fistfight, Alibi overhears Trigger telling the saloon keeper that Decker has ordered the gang to empty the saloon safe, which contains the stolen goods. The Range Busters attempt to rob the safe, but find it empty. Later, Trigger takes the money to a hideout. Decker challenges Dusty to a showdown, but when his men ambush Dusty, a gunfight erupts between Decker's gang and the Range Busters and their supporters. Joan also gets in on the fight after her father is injured, and the Range Busters defeat the outlaws. Their job done, the trio moves on to another town.
