Synopsis
Dr. Judd Stevens is a mild-mannered Chicago psychiatrist. After one of his patients borrows a jacket from the doctor, the man is murdered. Then Stevens' secretary is killed. The police are at a loss to solve the crimes, but Lieutenant McGreavy is ready to pin the murders on Stevens. McGreavy's zeal gets him removed from the case, which leaves his more sympathetic partner Angeli to work on the investigation. But the killings continue and Dr. Stevens takes matters into his own hands, hiring an eccentric private investigator to help him with his own search for the killer.
