Synopsis

Merchant seamen Skitch and Pappy return to Marseilles, France, eager to see the glamorous Mimi, with whom both were in love. However, their skipper, Muldoon, informs them that they must remain aboard their freighter to protect food supplies against theft by a black market gang. While on guard, they are lured from their posts by the seductive Simone, an accomplice of the black marketeers. After they realize that they have been tricked, they resolve to break up the gang. When they go to Mimi's apartment, however, they discover canned goods of the same brand that were stolen from the ship and assume that she is part of the gang. By following Mimi, they find that the gang, run by Marcel and Shultz, is headquartered in the wine cellar of the café where she dances. Skitch and Pappy are captured by the gang but start a fight, which alerts the local police. After the gang is captured, Skitch and Pappy discover that Mimi had been working as a secret agent for the police. As their freighter heads back to the U.S., Skitch and Pappy are pleased that they have done a good job, but are chagrined to have been duped by two pretty girls.
