Synopsis

A madcap comedy that follows the escapades of young Dr. Sparrow as he sets out to find his place in the world of medicine. He lands in a hilarious series of internships with a miserly doctor and his seductive young wife; a country doctor more often paid in produce than cash; and an uptown quack who specializes in neurotic, rich women. When Dr. Sparrow applies for a surgery position at a prestigious hospital, he accidentally insults the senior surgeon. Only by rescuing one of the hospital's governors from an embarrassing episode at the beach does Dr. Sparrow finally get his place on the surgical staff.
