Synopsis

Peter Dwight, a circus clown, is deserted by his wife, Florence, who runs off with wealthy Richard Talbot, taking their little daughter with her. Fifteen years pass. Posing as a Hindu seer, Dwight finds his wife just as she is planning to leave Talbot for another man. On the night of the elopement, Dwight entertains during a society party at which Florence is a guest. Florence is killed, and the district attorney attempts to arrest Dwight. Outsmarting the man, Dwight locks him up and then impersonates him, proving that Talbot murdered Florence to keep her from running out on him. Dwight is cleared of all suspicion and reunited with his daughter.
