Synopsis

In order to supply his outlaw band with new recruits, Gordon Watch attacks an Arizona border prison and frees the prisoners, forcing them to join his gang. Lest there be any question of the men's loyalty, Watch brands a large "S" on the arm of each escapee. Only Arizona Colt refuses to join, although he takes advantage of the jailbreak to escape to Blackstone Hill, the primary target of the marauding Watch gang. One of Watch's men murders Dolores, the promiscuous daughter of Pedro, the town's saloon keeper, and the anguished father offers a reward for the death of the killer. Arizona agrees to pursue the assailant if Pedro will add a night with his other daughter, Jane, to the reward money; and Jane accepts, but Pedro demurs. Arizona murders the killer, but he is wounded by Watch and left for dead. Whisky, an old friend, steals the bandit's loot and brings Arizona to Jane for care. Pedro joins other townspeople in forcing Arizona out of town when it becomes evident that the outlaw's wounds may not be severe enough to prevent him from claiming his reward. Immediately thereafter, Watch and his gang return to Blackstone Hill and threaten to raze the town unless the money stolen by Whisky is returned. Jane persuades Arizona to make one final stand, and he shoots the entire Watch gang in the town square. When the streets clear, Arizona promises his love to Jane and rides out of town.
