Synopsis

Sunshine Molly arrives at an oil town and works at the boardinghouse of Mrs. O'Brien, whose husband Pat owns a non-paying well. When she breaks a plate over the head of "Bull" Forrest for pinching her, she becomes popular with the other men. Pat's well becomes a gusher, and Mrs. O'Brien moves to town to get a "society" husband for her daughter Patricia, formerly called Patsy. When Pat brings his friends to Patsy's party, Mrs. O'Brien upbraids him and he angrily leaves. Meanwhile, Bull, shunned for insulting Molly, becomes half-crazed. Molly finds him senseless, and as she nurses him, their mutual hatred turns to love. After Mrs. O'Brien, Patricia and her new "social" fiancé follow Pat to the oil fields, the fiancé's slur on Molly's character causes her to reveal that he once attacked her. The men thrash the fiancé, who sets fire to an old derrick, and when Bull chases him to the top, the fiancé falls to his death. Bull and Molly then plan to marry.
