Synopsis

While visiting New York City, Ranger Sergeant Stuart becomes involved in an unequal fight with two gunmen, escaping from them by hiding in the hotel room of Rena Holden, to whom he is greatly attracted. When Rena later mysteriously disappears, Stuart finds evidence among her things that she is a member of the Clammert gang, which is planning to rob the safe of Rena's father, John Holden. Stuart goes west to the Holden mine, where he sees Ruth Holden, Rena's twin sister, whom he mistakes for Rena and publicly denounces as a thief and a liar. Stuart is captured by Clammert's men, tied to a rock, and dynamited. He escapes injury, joins forces with a repentant Rena, rides to Clammert's cabin, and saves Ruth from injurious attack. Rena is hurt in the struggle and explains to Stuart that she was forced to help Clammert by the threat of blackmail. Stuart forgives her, and Rena consents to marry the burly ranger.
