Synopsis

Margie Carr, the only daughter of wealthy Tom Carr, obsessed with aiding less fortunate people, opens an office, advertises for secretarial applicants, and hires Bubbs, a roughneck gangster who bounces the other applicants. Her sweetheart, Homer, tries to disguise himself as a tough and romance her, but he is evicted by Bubbs and seeks the aid of his friend Lester Hicks, who convinces Margie that he has suicidal tendencies. Margie agrees to go to his rescue at any hour of the day or night. When Margie goes to the theater and sees her sweetheart there with an ex-chorus girl, Flossie, on his arm, a riot ensues, and Margie decides to marry Hicks; he, however, decides to take the chorus girl. Realizing the folly of her schemes, she agrees to be the wife of Homer Dean Chadwick.
