Synopsis

Twelve-year-old Katie Penhallow is distraught when her mother goes off to France on a holiday and leaves her and little brother Simon with their stern grandmother Lydia. Dared by the local kids, Katie visits spooky Potter's Pond late one night, which is rumored to be haunted. She stumbles on the ghosts of two legendary French aviators who crashed in 1927 en route to New York in an attempt to beat Lindbergh across the Atlantic. Still struggling with the death of her test-pilot father several years earlier, Kate embarks on a series of adventures to help send the ghosts on the last leg of their fated journey.
