Synopsis

The marriage and family of simple farmer Aart and wife Johtje Vos is tested when they harbor escaped Jews during World War II in the Netherlands, In "Marie Taquet," former army commandant Emile and his pragmatic wife Marie rekindle their loveless marriage when they hide several Jewish children at their boarding school.
