Synopsis

Set in 2008, Malik Brody, a down-on-his-luck writer, is sitting in a San Francisco pub, when four gunmen burst into the bar and try to grab another patron, who uses his martial arts skills and Malik's body to make his escape. As the two men flee to Los Angeles, Malik learns that his kidnapper, Toby Wong, is being chased by agents of a powerful overseas corporation. They're after a prototype hi-tech device that greatly improves physical performance, and which happens to be implanted in Toby's chest. In order to survive, the duo must get the device to an American company.
