Synopsis

Zippy, a 12-year-old Russian-Jewish girl and her family struggle to adjust to their new lives in turn-of-the-century New York City. When her older sister marries a non-Jewish man and runs contrary to her mother's determination to preserve the family's Orthodox Jewish way of life, it's up to this brave young woman to help bring her family back together.
