Cast & Crew
Documentary relating the exploration of Richard E. Byrd in the polar regions of the Earth. He was an aviation pioneer, the first credited to fly an airplane over the North Pole in 1926, then first over the South Pole in the following year. In 1934 he became the first to experience winter in the interior of Antarctica. An explorer, aviation pioneer and scientist, Byrd was also an egoist, a risk-taker and, his critics claim, a fraud who took credit for the accomplishments of others.
