Synopsis
A poorly educated, underclass high school girl, ostracized by her community and abused by her mother's ex-boyfriend, becomes pen pals with a convict -- and the two learn they have much in common. After his parole, they are caught up in the murder of the ex-boyfriend, who has come on too agressively to the girl. The two go on the lam, pursued by the authorities until a final confrontation results in more deaths.
