Synopsis

Daryl Zero is the self-proclaimed greatest living detective who guards his own privacy with extraordinary zeal. His latest assignment is a blackmail case involving Portland, Oregon businessman Gregory Stark. Zero's emissary, Steve Arlo, is told little about the case other than the extortion has been going on for some time. Zero sets up a sting operation to catch the perpetrator but finds that he is romantically drawn to the likely suspect, Gloria Sullivan.
