Synopsis
Rose-Marie, belle of a Canadian trading post, loves Jim Kenyon, an outlaw trapper wanted for murder by Northwest Mountie Sergeant Malone. To save Kenyon from being exposed by her father, Rose Marie marries Étienne Duray, a Frenchman of means. Kenyon rescues Rose-Marie and Étienne (badly injured) when their canoe capsizes in the river and takes them to a nearby cabin. Malone arrives, still on Kenyon's trail, followed by Black Bastien, Malone's escaped prisoner--another suspect, who murdered an Indian and a town constable. The situation is resolved when Kenyon stabs the evil Black Bastien to prevent him from attacking Rose-Marie, and Étienne dies of a broken back, leaving Rose-Marie and Kenyon to their happiness.
