Biography

Julian Bond worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Bond worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "America's Black Forum" "Dawn's Early Light: Ralph McGill and the Segregated South" (1988) and "Eyes on the Prize: America's Civil Rights Years, 1954-1965" (PBS, 1986-87). He also contributed to "Greased Lightning" (1977) starring Richard Pryor, "King" (1977-78) and "Six Pack" (NBC, 1982-83). In the nineties, Bond devoted his time to various credits, such as "Southern Justice: The Murder of Medgar Evers" (HBO, 1993-94), "Who Killed JFK: The Final Chapter?" (CBS, 1993-94) and "In This Corner... Boxing's Historic Battles" (HBO, 1994-95). He also worked on the James L. Avery and Aria Noelle Curzon smash hit "The Prince of Egypt" (1998). Bond focused on film in more recent years, appearing in "Hijacking Catastrophe" (2004), the musical drama "Ray" (2004) with Jamie Foxx and "Pete Seeger: The Power of Song" (2007) with Pete Seeger. He also appeared in "Sing Your Song" (2011). He also lent his distinctive voice to "The Boondocks" (Cartoon Network, 2005-2014). Bond most recently appeared on the documentary "The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution" (2015) with Jamal Joseph.
