Biography

One of director/producer Jerry London's earliest show-business jobs was editing a 1965 episode of "Daniel Boone." By year's end, he was editing the long-running war-themed comedy "Hogan's Heroes" and would go on to direct and produce numerous episodes. He continued directing in the '70s, helming episodes of hit shows such as "The Partridge Family," "The Brady Bunch," "The Rockford Files," and "The Six Million Dollar Man," as well as the TV movies "Killdozer" and "McNaughton's Daughter." In addition to many other made-for-TV films, London became associated with lauded miniseries, beginning with the Arthur Hailey classic "Wheels" in '78. In '80, London was nominated for an Emmy and won a Directors Guild Award for the epic miniseries "Shogun," starring Richard Chamberlain, and would also go on to more Emmy nominations for "Chiefs," featuri Charlton Heston, and " Ellis Island," with Richard Burton. In the '90s, London had success working on the shows "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" and "Chicago Hope," while, in the next decade, he directed episodes of "Strong Medicine" and "JAG," among others. His son, Todd London, is an acclaimed HBO producer.
