MGM remade The Women in 1956 as a Technicolor musical starring June Allyson in the lead along with Joan Collins as Crystal and Dolores Gray as Sylvia. Ann Sheridan, Agnes Moorehead, Ann Miller and Joan Blondell also co-starred. In this version, the male characters are present featuring Leslie Nielsen as Allyson's philandering husband.

In 1955 a version of The Women ran on television starring Ruth Hussey as Mary, Shelley Winters as Crystal, Paulette Goddard as Sylvia Fowler, Mary Boland as The Countess DeLave and Mary Astor as Nancy.

There was a Broadway revival of The Women in 1973 directed by Morton DaCosta. It starred Kim Hunter as Mary and co-starred Rhonda Fleming, Dorothy Loudon, Myrna Loy and Alexis Smith.

A much publicized Broadway revival of The Women was staged in New York in 2001. It starred Cynthia Nixon as Mary along with Jennifer Coolidge, Kristen Johnston, Rue McClanahan and Jennifer Tilly.

In 2002 public television aired a performance of the Broadway stage revival of The Women produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company with an introduction by actor Jason Alexander.

A contemporary remake of The Women was made in 2008 starring Meg Ryan as Mary, Annette Bening as Sylvia, Eva Mendes as Crystal, along with Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Bette Midler, Candice Bergen, Carrie Fisher and Cloris Leachman. It was directed by Murphy Brown creator Diane English.
