When an innocent boy is accused of stealing a small fortune, his sister (Thanhouser star Florence La Badie) finds the evidence that proves his innocence in the raw footage of a film being shot on the street. One of the most ingenious Thanhouser films, The Evidence of the Film (1913) incorporates the filmmaking process itself in the storytelling and features scenes shot in the Thanhouser studio and editing room. Selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.
