Brief Synopsis
A New York chorus girl takes a naïve Czech immigrant under her wing. With the help of beat cop Murphy, Sylvia hides Karel from the authorities and ultimately falls in love with him. But a crooked lawyer and a group of welfare workers complicate matters.
