Wisconsin circa 1900, crafty lumber operator Fallon (Kirk Douglas), placating landowner Murdock (Duke Watson) with help from his girlfriend (Patrice Wymore), convinces his angry crew, and bystander Yukon (Edgar Buchanan), to come west with him, early in The Big Trees, 1952.

Now among the sequoia in California, lumbermen Fallon (Kirk Douglas) and Burns (Edgar Buchanan) go National Geographic until they're joined by Alicia (Eve Miller), who's invited them to dine with her Quaker-like brethren (Charles Meredith, William Challee et al), in The Big Trees, 1952.
