Synopsis

Primrose, growing up on a secluded farm with only her grandparents and the ducks and geese she tends as companions, has developed a dream that a white knight will take her as his wife to his castle across the sea. Concrete contractor George Graham, desiring Primrose, but turned down by her, attempts to shatter her dream by having a phony knight disillusion her so she will then accept him. He forces honest villager Dan O'Hara to pose as the knight by threatening to put Dan's brother, who earlier had embezzled funds from Graham's company, in jail. When Dan appears as the knight and brings Primrose and her grandparents to Graham's estate, made to look like a castle, he and Primrose fall in love. Dan dreads the day that the illusion will end, but Primrose, learning about Graham's schemes, marries Dan after getting a written release for Dan's brother.
