Synopsis

Drama about the struggle of a woman in her 40s battling Alzheimer's disease. Diane McGowan, a legal secretary with a lawyer's knowledge of the law, has a full life with her job, her grown children and her husband Jack. When she begins to forget vital information and finds that she is losing hours of time with no recollection of where she has been, a panicked and terrified Diane visits a doctor who diagnoses her with Early-Onset Alzheimers. When she learns that others her age are suffering from the same condition, Diane starts a support group. The first member she meets is Albert. Diane tries to help Albert handle his illness, but as her own condition worsens, she realizes she must rely on the love and support of her husband. Based on Diane Friel McGowin's autobiography "Living in the Labyrinth."
