Brief Synopsis

Keith Nelson, an artsy high school outcast, tries to land a date with popular girl Amanda Jones with some help from his tomboy best friend, Watts. However, his advances draw the ire of Amanda's snobby ex-boyfriend, Hardy Jenns, who makes plans to get even. Matters are further complicated when Watts realizes she likes Keith as more than just a friend and tries to convince him to stop pursuing Amanda.

Synopsis

Teenage tomboy Watts has always thought that Keith Nelson was her best friend. But when Keith asks out the popular Amanda, Watts realizes that she had deeper feelings for him. Amanda's wealthy ex-boyfriend Hardy has no feelings for her any more, but has no intention of allowing a working class boy like Keith to date her. However, his plans to cause problems for Keith fail when Keith turns the tables on him. In the process, Amanda decides that she prefers to be single and Keith realizes that he has deeper feelings for Watts.
