Our Town

Actor and writer Frank Craven begins, in the screenplay he helped adapt, his role slightly modified from the Stage Manager he played on Broadway, in the Sol Lesser independent production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Our Town, 1940, with William Holden and Martha Scott.

Frank Craven narrates into Martha Scott's first movie scene, as Emily, daughter of Charlie (Guy Kibbee), waylaid by smitten George (William Holden), and William Cameron Menzies' vision of Grover's Corners, NH, replacing the empty set from Thornton Wilder's play, early in Our Town, 1940.
