Steve (McQueen) and Jane (Aneta Corsaut), sent home because the cops believe they made up the story about the killer blob from outer space, sneak out and realize their best bet is get help from their pals at the movies, in the Pennsylvania-made indie The Blob, 1958.

The title song a landmark on its own, tacked on by Paramount studios which bought and distributed the movie, with delightful graphics and the tune by then-unknown Burt Bacharach and Mack (brother of Hal) David, from The Blob, 1958, starring Steve McQueen and Aneta Corsaut.

Not quite panic yet as Doc Hallen (Steven Chase) figures the old man has some weird parasitic growth spreading up his arm, so he brings in the nurse (Lee Payton) who finds the patient gone, and things get worse, in the independent creature-feature The Blob, 1958.
