Parole officer Griff (Cornel Wilde) who, with parolee Jenny (Patricia Knight, also Mrs. Wilde), has just seen one of her peers commit suicide, sends her to a doctor (Ann Shoemaker) who isn't just a physician, Douglas Sirk directing the eavesdropping, early in Shockproof, 1949.
