Big Jake

John Wayne in his first scene seems to be policing the Southwest in general, confronting a vigilante (Jim Davis, a.k.a. "Jock Ewing") and rescuing a Scotsman (Bernard Fox) in Big Jake, 1971.

George Fennemann narrates the elaborate historical commentary at the top of John Wayne's production of the early-20th century Western Big Jake, 1971, also starring Maureen O'Hara and Richard Boone.

After Martha (Maureen O'Hara) hires estranged husband Jacob (John Wayne) to rescue a kidnapped grandson he didn't know they had, he tangles with their son James (Wayne's own son, Patrick), in an early scene from Big Jake, 1971.
