Late 1949, London bookseller Frank (Anthony Hopkins) queues for rationed meat, as his customer Helene (Anne Bancroft) in Manhattan gets an idea, encouraged by her neighbor (Mercedes Ruehl) and her English boyfriend (Daniel Gerroll), in 84 Charing Cross Road, 1949, Judi Dench as Hopkins' wife!
