Hat-check girl Anne (Deana Durbin), stand-in for the missing fiancee` of Johnny (Robert Cummings), has been summoned for an unexpected second meeting with his presumed-to-by dying father (Charles Laughton), Guy Kibbee the doting bishop, in Universal's It Started With Eve, 1941.
