London pawn shop proprietor "Ma" Mott (Ethel Barrymore in her Academy Award winning role) reveals her illness to friend Ike (Konstantin Shayne), then tangles again with her ne'er-do-well son Ernie (Cary Grant), in None But The Lonely Heart, 1944, from the Richard Llewellyn novel.
