Trio

The author introducing the first story, from his home in the south of France, producer Sydney Box's follow up to Quartet, 1949, Trio, 1950, beginning with "The Verger," featuring James Hayter, Kathleen Harrison and Michael Hordern, directed by Ken Annakin.

After the author's introduction, the second of three stories by W. Somerset Maugham, called "Mr. Know-All," with Nigel Patrick the title character, British shipmates Wilfrid Hyde-White, Naunton Wayne and Anne Crawford his victims, in producer Sydney Box's Trio, 1950.

Roland Culver plays "Ashenden," the frequent hero of stories by W. Somerset Maugham, in the third story, "Sanatorium," in the 1950 collection Trio, Michael Rennie as new patient and notorious rake Templeton, Jean Simmons as recovering consumptive Evie.
