Sadie Thompson

Stuck together for now in a Pago Pago (a.k.a. American Samoa) inn, taking advantage of the forgiving nature of the title character (Gloria Swanson, also the producer, whose profession is known but never named), crusading freelance moralist Davidson (Lionel Barrymore) begins his campaign, in Sadie Thompson, 1928, from the famous Somerset Maugham story.
