After an opening scene singing in blackface in a minstrel-medicine show, in which his colleague (Charles Winninger) wound up jailed, Johnny (William Holden) takes up fishing and meets the Chalotte kids (Mary Jane Saunders, Gary Gray and Billy Gray, Warren and Wayne Farlow) in Father Was A Bachelor, 1950.
