The Tattooed Stranger

Still on location, this time at the American Museum Of Natural History on Central Park West, rookie New York detective Tobin (John Miles) has been sent to source an unusual blade of grass from the car in which an unidentified murder victim was found, meeting the nerdy and flirty botanist Mary (Patricia White), in The Tattooed Stranger, 1950.

Opening with impressive Central Park shots, the reservoir and the El Dorado apartment building featured, an unidentified actor finds an unidentified body in an abandoned sedan, and we meet cops Lundquist (Frank Tweddell), Corrigan (Walter Kinsella) and briefly Tobin (John Miles), in the RKO programmer The Tattooed Stranger, 1950.

From very routine New York police procedure to spooky action, as junior detective Tobin (John Miles) and new partner Corrigan (Walter Kinsella) enter the bowels of the medical examiner’s office, chasing a guy (Lewis Charles) who’s just mutilated the corpse of their (inked) murder victim, in The Tattooed Stranger, 1950.
