Reticent lawman Blaine (Glenn Ford) was on a solo fishing break when up rode McGuire (Chad Everett), who was invited to join in, and handily shot a rattlesnake, before the two settled in for drinks, their chat growing less cordial, in The Last Challenge, directed by MGM veteran Richard Thorpe.
