Tennessee, 1789, Rachel Robards (Susan Hayward) discovers husband Lewis (Whitfield Connor), whom she has just rejoined, has been carrying on with a slave girl (Vera Francis), leading to her rescue by future president and husband Andrew Jackson (Charlton Heston), in The President’s Lady, 1953.
