Fighting Father Dunne

Newsboys Monk and Lefty (Eric Roberts, Gene Collins), minding the pony donated to their charity home after they tried to steal it, receive buddy Matt (Darryl Hickman), who doesn't realize they want to stay there, under the care of Pat O'Brien (title character), in Fighting Father Dunne, 1948.

Well established as cold, hungry and mistreated in 1905 St. Louis, newsboys Jimmy and Tony (Donn Gift, Billy Cummings) introduce Pat O'Brien, the title character, who soon finds Chip (Billy Gray) and gets his own sister (Ruth Donnelly) to help, in the fact-based Fighting Father Dunne, 1948.
