Oklahoma Crude

Mase (George C. Scott) is the unwanted new hired-man, insisted upon by the still unwelcome Doyle (John Mills), whose daughter Lena (Faye Dunaway) is the undisputed boss of her oil rig, early in Stanley Kramer's Oklahoma Crude, 1913.

Director Stanley Kramer's opening, it's not necessarily clear that leading lady Faye Dunaway isn't shooting to kill, and only later clear that her target is John Mills, taking place in 1913, in Oklahoma Crude, 1973, co-starring George C. Scott.
