Charlie Jackson, a gunrunner in Morocco, becomes infatuated with cabaret singer Lili La Fleur, favorite of the Legionnaires, and proposes marriage to her, but he is captured by a French destroyer through information supplied by Michel. While being escorted through Casablanca, Charlie escapes from the police and takes refuge in Lili's dressing room; she disguises him as a singer and later helps to plan his escape; however, he is caught in a Legionnaire's uniform and is sent into the desert to fight the Arabs. He returns later and wins the admiration and affections of Lili.
