Synopsis

When the ranchers of Pinto Basin are in danger of losing their drought-stricken land because frequent robberies of the stage endanger an irrigation project, Crash, Dusty and Alibi, the Range Busters, come to investigate. Engineering the robberies is Harvey, the saloon owner who hopes to force the ranchers from their land and then buy it for a song. In order to remain on their land, the ranchers desperately need the dam that is under construction, but the repeated robberies of the stage prevent the arrival of payments for material and manpower. In league with Harvey is Summers, a bank employee who keeps him informed of the timing of the gold shipments. When the Range Busters go to work for bank owner Joan Brown, Harvey tries to prevent them from learning the truth by having one of his men accuse them of the robberies. To complete the frame-up, Harvey arranges for them to break out of jail and then plans to rob the stage and blame it on them. The Range Busters foil his plan by robbing the stage themselves and, after battling Harvey's men, they apprehend the real bandits and return the money to the stage.
