Cast & Crew
Captain Bill Clyde of the U. S. cavalry, is eager for a promotion so that he can marry his commanding officer's daughter, Nancy. He goes undercover, and after pretending to have a disagreement with the colonel, he is courtmartialed and removed from service. Bill's special mission is to determine which trader is providing the Indians with guns. Bill and the colonel both suspect Mark Collins, a romantic rival for Nancy's love. Collins indeed is dealing with the Indians, who plan with him to attack a wagon train of settlers and steal their weapons. The chief's son Little Eagle distrusts Collins, however, and protests the scheme. The cavalry's Indian scout works in cahoots with Collins and brings back a false report to the colonel, but Bill has trailed the trader and verifies that he is their suspect. Andy, the colonel's son who idolizes Bill, follows him when he rides to prevent the raid. They are too late, however, and many settlers are killed, except for those who followed a different trail and found safety at the cavalry fort. Bill finds Little Eagle lying among the wounded and brings him to the fort, since Little Eagle saved his life and they are blood brothers. Little Eagle identifies Collins as the trader who arranged the raid. Indians suddenly attack the fort. Andy manages to escape and ride for reinforcements, while Bill struggles with Collins. Little Eagle once again saves Bill's life by killing Collins, but dies in the effort. Andy brings another unit of the cavalry, who save the fort. The Indians and the cavalry have peace talks, while Nancy accepts Bill's proposal, now that he will be promoted for his work.
